Morris blow for Shrimpers

Southend United goalkeeper Glenn Morris could be sidelined for up to four weeks with a thigh injury.

The former Leyton Orient stopper was substituted in the second half of Saturday's 4-1 victory over Torquay after experiencing discomfort in his leg, and a scan has now revealed a strained thigh muscle as the problem. The 27-year-old has been ever-present for the Shrimpers this season, keeping six clean sheets and only conceding 14 goals in 20 starts.
