Pitman relieved after Bantams win

Hereford's under-pressure manager Jamie Pitman was relieved to see his side claim a second League Two win of the season - 2-0 against Bradford.

The Bantams had captain Michael Flynn sent off for a second bookable offence at Edgar Street on Saturday before Steve Leslie, on loan from Shrewsbury, slammed home a tremendous 35-yard free-kick in the 78th minute. Midfielder Tom Barkhuizen snapped up Hereford's second with two minutes remaining to send Bradford back to Yorkshire pointless. And Pitman said: "It was a massive win for us which does give us a lift again. We now have something to build on, but we can't get carried away. "We have another massive encounter against Barnet next week, but I'm glad to have the three points. "It was a tight game and there wasn't a great deal in it, but we did have one or two good opportunities before we scored."
