Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner was relieved after Lionel Ainsworth scored in stoppage time to snatch a dramatic 3-2 win over Barnet.

Shrewsbury surrendered a 2-0 half-time lead and looked set for a point after a spirited Barnet fightback, only for winger Ainsworth to pop up in the 93rd minute to keep Turner's men flying high in fourth spot in League Two.

"There has got to be a fair degree of relief that we got all three points," said Turner. "We did our best to throw them away and we've played better than that. One of the problems we had was the way Barnet played. They held a high line and squeezed the ball in midfield, so there wasn't a lot of room to pass it.

"We should have killed the game off in the period after half-time.

"The first goal for Barnet was bordering on a joke, a big kick up the middle again and we can't deal with it. You always know you're going to have a problem with them because they've got bright players who are good on the ball and we allowed them to dictate to us for periods.

"The overall performance was disappointing and in the end we are fortunate to come away with three points."
