Northampton striker Jake Robinson has described Twitter as a "fantastic tool for self-promotion".
The 24-year-old, yet to score for the Cobblers this season, is a frequent user of the social networking website and believes it is a great way for players in lower leagues to gain exposure.
Robinson told the Northampton Chronicle: "When you get down to League Two there is not so much coverage, you're not on telly every hour, you've got to look for ways to get your name mentioned.
"From a personal point of view and for every player, the more exposure the better.
"You want to have your name out there. Twitter has taken over and it is massive, I think everyone in football has got involved in it, players, media and fans.
"I think it is a fantastic tool for self promotion."
