Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson believes the league title race remains wide open this season.
The Silkmen operate with one of the smallest budgets in the division but they knocked Hull out of the Carling Cup last month and held leaders Morecambe to a 1-1 draw in midweek. And Simpson said: "Anyone can beat anyone in this league. "We got done by Crawley but then Morecambe go and beat them 6-0 at the weekend. It's a very open division. We've generated £400,000 in the last two months and we need that to stay afloat but I hope I'll get a little bit of it to spend. "But I've got a very good squad here and we more than matched the league leaders."
