Morecambe boss Jim Bentley praised his players after being shortlisted for the League Two Manager of the Month award for August.
The new Shrimps boss is in the running against Rotherham's Andy Scott, Crawley's Steve Evans and Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner after a superb start to his managerial career. The winner will be announced on Friday and Bentley told the Visitor: "I am absolutely made up to have been shortlisted and it shows that we are doing something right and getting noticed. "If I do get the award it is down to the players who have been absolutely magnificent so far. They have done everything we have asked of them and made a great start to the season. "We have done well but the aim now is to maintain that run of form and make sure we are consistent and hopefully we can be shortlisted for more awards as the season goes on."
