Manager Andy Hessenthaler still wants to add a striker during the loan window to bolster Gillingham's attacking options.
The Gills have failed to net in their last two league encounters and were unable to acquire a front man before the transfer window closed.
"We will try and get someone in upfront," Hessenthaler told the Kent Messenger.
"We have been trying for weeks but haven't been able to do anything. Let's hope we can bring in a fresh face in that forward area."
