Timlin misses Robins reunion

A clause in Michael Timlin's loan deal will prevent him from playing for Southend against parent club Swindon this weekend.

The Irish midfielder, who played for the Robins in their season opener against Crewe before falling out of favour under Paolo Di Canio, was packed off temporarily to Roots Hall a week ago. But he will not get the chance to show his employers what they are missing when Paul Sturrock's Southend visit the County Ground on Saturday. Timlin's stint with the Shrimpers runs until January next year.
