Swindon Town have completed the capture of imposing striker Lukas Magera on a two-year contract.

The 6ft 4in forward, who has been capped four times by the Czech Republic, strengthens Town's attacking options after manager Paolo Di Canio stressed a need for a greater physical presence in the final third. Magera watched on as the Robins lost 2-1 to local rivals Oxford on Sunday. The 28-year-old, formerly of Romania-based club Politehnica Timisoara, is awaiting international clearance ahead of Wednesday's Carling Cup first-round tie at Bristol City. He becomes Swindon's third signing in the space of four days after striker Leon Clarke and winger Lander Gabilondo.
