Bulls secure Clist loan deal

Hereford have bolstered their ranks with the loan capture of Simon Clist from Oxford until the new year.

Clist, a left-sided player who can play at full-back or in midfield, is able to make his debut in Saturday's clash at AFC Wimbledon. The 30-year-old started his professional career with Bristol City having been released by Tottenham and went on to play for Torquay, Barnet and Forest Green - where he lined up alongside Bulls boss Jamie Pitman - before moving to Oxford in 2009. Pitman has bolstered his ranks with injuries taking their toll and the club struggling at the foot of the League Two table with no points from their opening three league matches. Clist, whose deal runs until January 3, is not expected to be the only new arrival at Edgar Street with Pitman having also lined up another potential signing on Friday. A goalkeeper is likely to be on the cards as Adam Bartlett is ruled out for a couple of weeks due to injury. Meanwhile, the Bulls have been boosted by the news left-back Joe Heath did not crack a rib during Tuesday's 4-0 home defeat to Macclesfield, as initially feared. He will now be available for this weekend's clash against the Dons at Kingsmeadow.
