Bristol Rovers striker Scott McGleish believes his goals will help his side push for promotion this season as he seeks to improve his tally.
McGleish scored 18 goals for his old club Leyton Orient last season and is hoping to better that number for his new side after joining on a free transfer earlier in the summer.
McGleish told the Bristol Evening Post: "I got 18 for Orient last year and if I can get anywhere close to that then I'll be happy. I need to score 11 more goals to get to 250 career goals, so that will be my first target and then I'll see where we go from there.
"I know that whatever happens I'll get chances. I think the gaffer's attacking intent is reflected in his signings.
"I've been brought here to score goals and that is what I'm paid to do."
