Torquay have signed Kenya international striker Taiwo Atieno on a one-year contract after his release from Stevenage.
The 25-year-old has been on trial at Plainmoor for the last two weeks and has impressed boss Martin Ling sufficiently to be rewarded with a deal.
"I keep talking about pieces to the jigsaw and I always felt we were two forwards light after we lost [Chris] Zebroski," said Ling.
"I've brought in Rene Howe as one and Taiwo has done well to make himself the next one, and we now have a forward department with five players.
"I feel the forward department is now finished, just like the midfield department, defensive and goalkeeping departments.
"We have a full squad ready to go two weeks before the season starts, which is pleasing, especially from where we started."
