Swindon have confirmed the signing of Jonathan Smith from York for an undisclosed fee.
Battling midfielder Smith arrives at the County Ground from the Blue Square Bet Premier side for a sum believed to be in the region of £30,000 and has penned a two-year deal. The 24-year-old spent only one season with York having signed on a free transfer from Forest Green last summer, making 43 appearances and scoring four goals. Unconfirmed reports regarding Smith's signing were rife last week but the Robins have now finalised the deal. Smith becomes Paolo Di Canio's second arrival after that of defender Joe Devera from Barnet.
