Wycombe defender Danny Foster has signed a new two-year deal as preparations for life in League One gather pace at Adams Park.

The 26-year-old made 40 appearances this season, after signing from Brentford, and follows six other players to have signed on in recent weeks. "I'm over the moon," Foster told the club's official website. "I always wanted to stay here and never thought about leaving for a second because this is such a good club to be at. The manager, staff, players and fans have all been great to me so it ticks all the right boxes. "The people behind the scenes have got the right ideas and they're moving the club forward in a positive way. There was a real buzz and a family atmosphere around the place last season, and I enjoy getting up and coming into training every day." Manager Gary Waddock also spoke of his delight at re-signing the versatile defender: "Danny is an important member of the group and I'm delighted that he has agreed a new deal to stay at the club. "He's an excellent character to have in the dressing room and is somebody we know we can rely on to produce a high level of performance anywhere across the back four."
