Adam Watts would be prepared to take a pay cut to stay at Sincil Bank following Lincoln's relegation from League Two.
The defender, who has a year remaining on his contract, has been placed on the transfer list by manager Steve Tilson in a bid to trim the wage bill for next season following relegation to the Blue Square Bet Premier. However, Watts is willing to reduce his wages in an attempt to stay at Sincil Bank. "I would be willing to listen to the club," he told the Lincolnshire Echo. "However, like everyone I have bills to pay and a mortgage, so it would be difficult. "If that was an option and the deal was good enough then I would look at it, but I don't think the club will be doing anything like that. "Steve Tilson told me he liked me as a player and wanted to keep me but with the funds available, that was not possible. That's football. It's a job for me and being given a free transfer is not what I wanted."
