Midfielder Ryan Burge has been recalled by his parent club Doncaster after a loan spell with Oxford.
The 22-year-old, who has made five appearances for the U's, was due to stay at the Kassam Stadium until the end of the season but Rovers have activated a clause in his contract to take him back to the Keepmoat early.
Oxford manager Chris Wilder said: "Ryan has done well during his time here with us on loan and we are disappointed to see him go.
"We wish him all the best with his future."
