Mekki says Shots will move up

Winger Adam Mekki believes Aldershot will be back in the top half of League Two before the end of the season.

The club reached the play-offs last season but started poorly under Kevin Dillon before new boss Dean Holdsworth took charge to bring about a return to form. Mekki said: "The introduction of the new management team has been a breath of fresh air and you couldn't ask for any more. "The performances in training are translating onto the pitch and we are starting to get the results we deserve. "But we deserve to be higher up the table and I will do my very best to help the team achieve that."
