Bury boss Alan Knill has completed the signing of Brighton striker Chris Holroyd on loan until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has made 15 appearances for the Seagulls during the campaign, scoring no goals, but also had a prolific spell with Stevenage earlier in the season where he scored six goals in just 12 appearances. Shakers manager Knill told the club's official website: "We've been trying for two months to bring Chris into the club. "For one reason or the other they couldn't let him go out. He's done really well at Stevenage earlier this season and he's a very lively player." Holroyd will go straight into the squad for Saturday's game with Rotherham.
