Darren Jones believes Dean Holdsworth has instilled "drive and determination" since his appointment as Aldershot boss.
The Shots have lost just once since the former Wimbledon striker took charge last month and were impressive in coming from behind to draw at Morecambe in midweek.
Defender Jones said: "Since the new gaffer has arrived we have grown in confidence every match. We came back from a goal down on Tuesday and have done so in previous matches too. Our fitness has improved a lot and we are stronger as the games are progressing.
"There is a freshness around us at the moment and we are looking forward to matches starting with Macclesfield on Saturday.
"We have plenty of drive and determination and just want to do well."
