Shrewsbury striker Tom Bradshaw has been ruled out for four to six weeks with an ankle ligament injury.

The 18-year-old was taken for an X-ray after picking up the injury in training on Monday, which showed no fracture but a further assessment revealed he has slight ligament damage.

It is the second time this season that Bradshaw has been sidelined with an ankle problem after sustaining a knock whilst on international duty with Wales' Under-19 side in October which kept him out for nearly two months.

Bradshaw, who broke into the Shrews first team at the back end of last season, has made 17 appearances during the current campaign scoring twice.

Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner had to use winger Lionel Ainsworth as a makeshift striker in Wednesday's match at Lincoln due to the youngster's absence. Turner, though, may well deploy Ainsworth in the role again after he netted a hat-trick in the 5-1 win.
