Shrimps heartache for Bevan

Goalkeeper Scott Bevan insists Torquay were unlucky not come away with all three points after a 2-1 defeat to Morecambe.

The Gulls looked like gaining a hard-earned victory thanks to substitute Billy Kee's opener but late spot-kicks from Shrimps midfielder Laurie Wilson gave the home side victory. But Bevan praised his team for their performance in difficult conditions. He told the club's official website: "We were fantastic for 88 minutes and it felt like victory was snatched away from us, especially in the conditions and being away from home against a team who were in the play-offs last year. "To go there and perform the way we did was very good but unfortunately it was snatched away from us right at the last. "Both tackles were very similar and I couldn't get near either of the penalties. It was very disappointing to come away with nothing after playing so well."
