Henderson staying with Shots

Watford boss Malky Mackay has confirmed Liam Henderson will continue his loan at Aldershot despite their change in manager.

Henderson joined the Shots on loan until the end of the season, five days before Kevin Dillon was sacked. Dean Holdsworth was announced as the new manager at the Recreation Ground on Wednesday afternoon and Mackay revealed the switch would not change the striker's loan deal, although the Hornets are due to analyse the overall situation next month. "Kevin's departure will not affect Liam's loan for the first 28 days but we will look at things after that to see where the club is, who is manager and if Liam has been playing and then decide what to do," Mackay told the Watford Observer. "Contractually he has to be there for 28 days. We are certainly monitoring the situation."
