Shrewsbury Town's new signing Mark Wright has expressed his delight at returning to the club on a permanent deal.
The 28-year-old impressed during a six-month loan spell at the Greenhous Meadow, scoring 10 goals in 21 league games for the Shrews.
The tricky winger has now finalised a permanent move after League One side Bristol Rovers opted to sell Wright.
"I've always said that I would love to stay at Shrewsbury because it ticks all the boxes for me," said Wright.
"I've been enjoying my football there and being back at home, plus the team have been playing really well, so it is a great club to be at with them pushing for promotion.
"It was looking a little bleak when Bristol Rovers said they wanted a fee for me, but thankfully Shrewsbury have managed to sort a deal out and I can look forward to playing football again."
The former Walsall man was drafted into a new role for Monday's 1-0 defeat to Crewe and he insists he is much more at home on the wing.
He added: "I was helping the side out by playing in the hole behind the strikers, but I prefer a wide role if I'm honest.
"It was a difficult game and we didn't perform to the standard that we have been at for most of the season, but I've played there before and I would do it again if asked."
