Stockport County striker Barry Conlon has left the club by mutual consent following a number of "off-field" issues.
The much-travelled frontman, who only joined County in the summer, was last week banned from driving after he drove while almost twice over the legal limit. A club statement said: "Conlon has suffered with injury for much of his stay at Edgeley Park which has resulted in him not making the impact expected, he has also had off field issues to deal with recently." Meanwhile, Stockport are to hold a pitch inspection at 2pm on Thursday to decide whether the home clash with Rotherham on Boxing Day can go ahead.
