Defender Andy Parrish accepts Morecambe must improve defensively if they are to climb away from relegation danger.

The Shrimps are languishing fourth bottom in League Two after Saturday's 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Crewe.

Parrish said: "We gave away two bad goals again and that is something we have to work on.

"We know we are in a dogfight now but the lads are working really hard and are prepared for the fight because we know we should be doing far better than we are."
