Double blow for Silkmen

Macclesfield duo Emile Sinclair and Richard Butcher face at least a month on the sidelines through injury.

Striker Sinclair, 22, pulled a hamstring during Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Lincoln forcing him to come off nine minutes before the end, while 29-year-old midfielder Butcher, who has just returned from a knee injury, suffered medial ligament damage in training. Silkmen physio Nick Reid told the club's official website: "Emile has pulled his hamstring on Saturday and had to come off. I would say he's looking at a lay-off of at least four weeks. Hamstrings are particularly important with a player like Emile who uses his pace so well so you have to be totally sure that they are ready before putting them back into action. "And unfortunately, Richard Butcher returned to training last week and has injured the medial ligaments in his other knee, Again we could be looking at four to six weeks before he can get back into training which is very frustrating for him."
