Bury striker Danny Carlton has joined Blue Square Premier Bet outfit Grimsby on a one-month loan deal.
The former Morecambe man has struggled for first-team opportunities at Gigg Lane this season and could now feature for the Mariners at Altrincham on Saturday. Carlton is scheduled to return to Gigg Lane on October 23. Meanwhile, Bury have revealed they are working towards extending the contract of midfielder Michael Jones. The Shakers announced earlier this week that they are hoping to tie striker Ryan Lowe to a new extended deal.
