Hutchinson blow for Lincoln

Lincoln striker Andy Hutchinson has been ruled out of action for up to eight weeks with a metatarsal injury.

Hutchinson, who missed the Imps' 1-0 win over Barnet at the weekend, has broken the fifth metatarsal in his left foot and faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines. "I was playing against Middlesbrough in the reserves and a player came behind me and took the outside of my foot with his studs," he told the Imps' official website. "It was painful, I tried carrying on but I knew something was seriously up with it so I went for an X-ray the next day and it came back that I'd cracked it." Hutchinson signed a one-year contract after impressing in pre-season and is unlikely to return to training until November.
