Stanton braced for bad news

Burton are waiting to discover the extent of Nathan Stanton's hamstring injury amid fears he has torn it.

The defender was forced off after just 19 minutes of Albion's 3-0 home win over Hereford on Saturday. Manager Paul Peschisolido fears the worst and Stanton could be looking at several weeks on the sidelines. "Nathan has done his hamstring, which is a blow," said the Canadian. "He felt it go right away and we will assess it but the early signs are a torn hamstring." Peschisolido's other first-choice centre-half Darren Moore also sustained injury when crashing into the advertising boards towards the end of the game against the Bulls, but he is expected to be fit for the weekend. "Darren hit the boards on the side quite hard," added Peschisolido. "He has some lacerations to his hands, wrists and face and some bruised ribs. Hopefully, though, he will be okay."
