Strevens rues horrow show

Wycombe striker Ben Strevens has labelled Saturday's 1-1 draw at Northampton as his worst day in the game.

The striker incredibly missed an open goal from a matter of yards and then gave away a penalty with three minutes left when he tripped Andy Holt. Strevens said: "I should have known when the ball flew off me and flew wide, that it wouldn't be my day and I should have told the gaffer to take me off. "I don't think you can have a worse day in football. The guy has missed a header and I have gone to clear the ball and tried to pull out at the last minute. "He has gone down quite easily but, in all honesty, I would probably have done the same thing. "I am gutted. To be the lad who gave away the penalty is quite tough but I just have to try and put it right next weekend."
