Shots will also be entitled to a 20% sell-on fee should the player be sold by the Buckinghamshire club.

Winfield joined Wycombe after becoming a free agent in the summer but Aldershot were entitled to a fee for the player as he is under the age of 24.

"We are pleased with the outcome and I am sure both clubs felt that the hearing and settlement was fair," Shots chief executive Peter Duffy told his club's official website.

"Dave was a valued player at Aldershot and had spent eight years with the club progressing from the youth team, reserves and into the first team where he was able to make his Football League debut. The tribunal certainly took that into account.

"This also reinforces the fact that players can develop and progress their careers at Aldershot which can provide them with further opportunities."
