Lincoln and Hereford settle compensation for winger

Lincoln have agreed an undisclosed compensation package with Hereford over the recent signing of winger Gavin McCallum. The striker will now be eligible to play for the Imps as there is no longer the need for a tribunal. McCallum was offered a new deal to stay with Hereford, but opted for a move to their League Two rivals last month. The 22-year-old only joined the Bulls from Weymouth last summer and impressed in scoring eight goals in 27 League Two appearances. He notched both goals in Hereford's 2-0 win over Lincoln in February and also made his full debut for Canada last month. Elsewhere, discussions are ongoing with Torquay regarding Mustapha Carayol's move to Sincil Bank and the compensation fee involved.
