Holloway takes a look at experienced striker

Sky Sports News understands that free agent striker Francis Jeffers will train with newly-promoted Blackpool on Monday. The 29-year-old is on the lookout for a new club after being released by Sheffield Wednesday at the end of last season. As a youngster, Jeffers was tipped for big things and in 2001 secured an £8million move from Everton to Arsenal. He was capped once by England and also found the back of the net in a 3-1 friendly defeat to Australia in February 2003. Jeffers has spent the past three seasons in the Championship with the Owls, but mustered just five league goals in that time. Manager Ian Holloway will now asses the striker's form and fitness as he looks to build a squad capable of surviving in the top flight.
