Striker training at Galpharm but has options elsewhere

Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark has ruled out a move for free agent Francis Jeffers. The former Everton and Arsenal striker has been training with the League One side as he bids to improve his fitness ahead of the forthcoming season after being released by Sheffield Wednesday. The one-time England international has been linked with a move to the Galpharm Stadium but Clark insists the Terriers will not be offering the 29-year-old a contract as he has options abroad. "Francis has an offer from a Major League side in America and one from a club in Dubai, and he's weighing them up," Clark told the Huddersfield Examiner. "He's a good mate of Gary Roberts and also knows Steve Black, whose reputation as a performance coach is high, and since he doesn't have a club at the moment, he asked if he could come and train with us. "We're happy to accommodate him, but it won't be going any further than that."
