Winger Wayne Carlisle has signed a new two-year deal with Torquay ahead of the new season.
The 30-year-old has put pen to paper on the contract after a fine season for the Gulls was prematurely ended by a knee injury in March.
The experienced wide man started his career with Crystal Palace before spells with Swindon, Bristol Rovers, Leyton Orient and Exeter.
He is the first player to agree new terms at Plainmoor ahead of the new season.
But Torquay are hoping Chris Robertson, Kevin Nicholson and Lee Mansell will follow suit shortly.
