Grenada international Facey is set to remain at Sincil Bank for a second month after Notts County sanctioned an extension to his current agreement.
The experienced frontman has made four appearances for the Imps so far and notched his first goal for the club in the Boxing Day win away at Chesterfield.
Herd, meanwhile, has seen his short-team deal with Chris Sutton's side extended until the end of the season.
The youngster, who is on the books of Premier League side Aston Villa, initially joined the club in November.
The Australia Under 20 international midfielder, who put in an eye-catching display during the FA Cup defeat at Bolton on Saturday, has made six appearances in all competitions and has scored one goal.
