Winger's loan not extended by Bradford

Bradford City have allowed Simon Whaley to return to Norwich City after deciding against extending the winger's loan spell. Whaley joined the Bantams in late November after spending the previous two months of the season on loan at League Two rivals Rochdale. During his time at Valley Parade, Whaley made six appearances and scored his only goal in the 3-0 away win over struggling Grimsby Town. His loan expired after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Cheltenham Town, in which he was not involved, and he has now gone back to Norwich. The 24-year-old only joined Norwich from Preston last summer, but he is not part of Paul Lambert's plans at Carrow Road.
