Hamilton chief executive George Paterson says the club are in no rush to appeal Leon Knight's weekend red card.
The unused substitute was sent off in a tunnel fracas with Hearts following Hamilton's 2-1 SPL success at New Douglas Park.
The match was fiery enough already with Hearts duo Michael Stewart and Ismael Bouzid seeing red prior to the full-time whistle.
Knight is suspended for Accies' weekend clash at Aberdeen, although Paterson admits the club are waiting before deciding on an appeal.
"At the minute we're still looking at the whole picture with Leon," Paterson told
Sky Sports News.
"Obviously it's being dealt with through the football authorities as to his part therein.
"We're speaking to them to see if any other allegations have been made that we have to deal with."
Celebrating
Few eyewitness accounts have been taken from the fracas and Paterson admits he missed the flashpoint as he was celebrating.
"I was still celebrating the three points upstairs in the boardroom when I heard there was something going on," he continued.
"I popped down to see how things were, but by that time it had been totally controlled by the police and our security people.
"I was quite happy with how things had gone on, so I went back to the boardroom."
