Morecambe's on-loan midfielder Manny Panther has been ruled out for up to two months after suffering a broken toe.
Panther was hurt during Saturday's 2-1 win over Notts County and was replaced just before the hour mark following a tackle by Sol Campbell.
Scans have now shown that Panther faces several weeks on the sidelines and he will undergo further treatment on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Christie Park from Exeter City after struggling to hold down a first-team spot with Paul Tisdale's side.
He has started five games in League Two since joining Morecambe and his injury could prompt Shrimps boss Sammy McIlroy to re-enter the loan market.
