Jackson confirms interest in striker

Peter Jackson has confirmed that he is targeting Michael Bridges as he looks to bring in reinforcements. The striker left Hull City at the end of last season and has spent time training with Norwich over the summer. Carlisle and Darlington have also been linked with Bridges but Lincoln boss Jackson hopes he can persuade the 30-year-old to come to Sincil Bank. "I have spoken with Michael numerous times, but he has been up in Scotland with Norwich," Jackson told the Lincolnshire Echo. "They haven't made their minds up whether they are going to sign him so I can only comment on what I know. "Until we know the circumstances then I'm not ruling anything out, so is a move for Michael a possibility? Maybe. "We have kept in touch all over the summer and the talks I have had with him have been positive." Norwich manager Bryan Gunn announced earlier on Thursday that he would not be offering Bridges a contract.
