Craney and Jevons join League Two club on loan

Morecambe have snapped up Huddersfield Town duo Ian Craney and Phil Jevons on season-long loan deals. Craney only joined the Terriers on a three-year contract from Accrington Stanley in August last year, while Jevons finished last term on loan at Bury. Terriers boss Lee Clark has been looking to revamp his squad over the summer and has allowed midfielder Craney and striker Jevons to move on to Morecambe. The League Two club are delighted to have clinched the double deal and are expecting Craney and Jevons to play a key role in the upcoming campaign. Vice-chairman Graham Hodgson told the club's official website: "We are absolutely delighted to have secured the services of two quality players who will bring both ability and experience to the squad. "The club have been working tirelessly over the summer to add quality to the squad and the two signings of today have certainly done that."
