Burton Albion boss Paul Peschisolido admits he is interested in signing former Tottenham youngster Jacques Maghoma. The midfielder featured for Burton in Saturday's friendly against Derby County and then played in Hereford United's game with Bristol City on Monday night. Maghoma impressed for the Brewers and Peschisolido is keen to discuss a possible deal for the 21-year-old. However, the Burton manager concedes that Maghoma may have to accept a pay cut if he is to secure a deal with the Football League new boys. "There is a chance that Jacques could be with us for next season, however we are on a tight budget," Peschisolido told the club's official website. "You have got to remember that the boy has come from Spurs last year and has been a part of the first-team squad when Martin Jol was in charge. "The wages he was on there are obviously a lot bigger than anything we would be able to afford, so he would have to be sensible with his wage demands and then we can maybe sit down and see where we go, but it is not going to be an easy one. "We have already done well to get him to come up here and have a look around the facilities we have got and to give him the level of training that we have done over the last week or so, and so it is to be hoped that money won't become an issue."
