Bury manager Alan Knill has finally got his man after signing striker Danny Carlton at the third time of asking.
The Shakers boss was knocked back in his attempts to sign the 25-year-old last summer and again in January.
But Knill has finally secured Carlton's signature after his release from Carlisle United, whom he joined for a nominal fee from Morecambe in the summer of 2007.
Carlton made his name with the Shrimpers, scoring 62 goals in 199 appearances, including a fantastic goal at Wembley in the play-offs which propelled the side into the Football League.
But he struggled at Carlisle and was loaned back to Morecambe and then to Darlington.
Bury now hope the striker can rediscover the form from his first spell at Morecambe and fire the Shakers into League One.
