But Stewart agrees new one-year deal

Exeter have begun to prepare for next season by allowing five players to leave the club. Steve Basham, Jack Obersteller, Nick Jordan, Ronie Bull and Fred Murray have all been released after their contracts expired. But veteran striker Marcus Stewart has agreed a new deal to stay with the Grecians for another year. Stewart, who joined the club from Yeovil last summer, has yet put pen-to-paper on the contract but the final details are expected to be ironed out in the near future. Exeter will be playing in the third tier of English football next season for the first time since 1994, after securing second spot in League Two.
