Exeter v Dagenham preview

Exeter are without suspended Danny Seaborne while Dagenham receive double boost for League Two tie.

Centre-back blow for the Grecians, Daggers handed duo boost

Promotion-chasing Exeter will be without central-defender Danny Seaborne for Saturday's home match against Dagenham. Seaborne serves a one-match ban after he was dismissed for two bookable offences in the first half of City's 1-0 victory over Port Vale on Tuesday night. The 22-year-old's absence comes at a bad time for the Grecians, with fellow centre-half Matt Taylor already on the sidelines with a broken metatarsal. With Alex Russell struggling with a knee injury, manager Paul Tisdale recalled Bertie Cozic for the win over Vale and the French midfielder will hope to keep his place in the starting line-up. Stuart Fleetwood will also be hopeful of retaining his place after making his debut on Tuesday in place of the injured Steve Basham (ankle).

Benson Gain

Paul Benson and Peter Gain could return to Dagenham's starting line-up for the clash at Exeter. Leading goalscorer Benson stepped off the substitutes' bench to fire the winner against Macclesfield last week after missing the previous nine matches due to a knee injury that required surgery. Benson could follow up his surprise return by starting at St James Park as the Daggers bid to launch a late play-off push. Midfielder Gain has also had knee surgery and returned to action for the first time since the turn of the year when stepping off the bench against Macclesfield. The Daggers have no new injury or suspension problems, but Doug Loft has returned to parent club Brighton after 12 appearances for John Still's side.
