Wycombe skipper David McCracken believes his side still have a realistic chance of winning the League Two title.
Just one win in seven games has seen the Chairboys slip to fourth place in the table - seven points adrift of league leaders Brentford.
However, still a game in hand over the Bees and two in hand over promotion hopefuls Rochdale, Gillingham and Bury, McCracken believes a serious title challenge is not out of the question.
With only a handful of games remaining, Wycombe will require a swift turn around in form if they are to stand any chance of lifting the trophy.
Confident his side can step up their game, McCracken has backed the Chairboys to get back to winning ways, starting against Shrewsbury on Saturday.
Good run
McCracken told
skysports.com: "We've been on top of the table for the majority of the season, so obviously we all want to win the title and we feel we have got the players here to do so, but we need to start putting back-to-back wins together again.
"If we can put three or four together then that should give us a good chance of getting into that position.
"We have a couple of games in hand and it is vital we put the points on the board from them to give us the best chance of finishing the season on top of the table."
McCracken stressed that, although pushing for the title is important, the Chairboys' main priority is to secure automatic promotion.
"Brentford have been on a great run of late and it is up to us to match them and close the gap.
"Of course we want to win the title, but securing promotion is the first thing we need to focus on."
