Dagenham & Redbridge have confirmed that they rejected a bid from Wycombe Wanderers for Ben Strevens.
Skysports.com revealed last week that overtures from the leaders to their League Two rivals for the striker's services had been snubbed.
The Daggers have now admitted that they did receive an offer from the Chairboys, but turned it down, even though Strevens' current deal expires in the summer.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Ben has never expressed any interest in leaving the club before the end of his contract which expires in the summer.
"The club do not want to lose his services and, after consultation with the player, the club decided to turn down the offer from Wycombe.
"Ben is fully committed to helping the Daggers to achieve the highest possible finish in the league."
