Midfielder pens Macclesfield deal until the end of the season

Macclesfield midfielder Jamie Tolley has extended his stay with the Silkmen until the end of the season. Tolley has put pen to paper on an extended contract after breaking into the League Two outfit's first team after recovering from a knee injury. The former Wales under-21 midfielder was released by the Silkmen last season, before returning on a short-term deal in August and after making 10 appearances so far this season, Tolley has been rewarded with a new deal. "I'm pleased to be staying with the Silkmen for the rest of the season and now I'm fit again I want to show the fans what I'm capable of," Tolley told the club's official website. "We have a good squad here and we shouldn't be frightened to take anyone in this division on." Silkmen boss Keith Alexander is glad the 25-year-old is staying until the end of the current campaign. He added: "When he's fit, Jamie is an excellent midfielder and he gives me options - I'm delighted to be able to call on him for the rest of the season."
