German is Clark's first signing
Huddersfield have completed the signing of former Barnsley defender Dominik Werling.
Werling arrives at the Galpharm Stadium on a free transfer after being released by German club Erzgebirge Aue.
The full-back has signed a short-term deal until the end of the season with the option of an extension and he becomes Lee Clark's first signing as Terriers boss.
"He's a superb athlete and very, very quick. He's very comfortable on the ball, good in the challenge and he's the overall package," Clark told the club's official website.
"Leicester (on Saturday) is not too soon for him. If we can get the international clearance through we can see where he fits into the equation for that one."
