Defender not ready to decide on permanent Accrington deal

Kieran Charnock has put a decision over a permanent move to Accrington Stanley on hold until the summer. The Peterborough United defender has extended his loan at Accrington until the end of the season, having been at the League Two club since October. Stanley were keen on a permanent deal in January, but Charnock feels the current arrangement is the best way forward for the time being. "Obviously Accrington spoke to me about a permanent deal, but there were plenty of things to take into consideration," Charnock told the Lancashire Telegraph. "I won't go into all of them, but I think at the present time a loan to the end of the season would be best for me and possibly best for Accrington. "I'll commit to the end of the season and then see what happens. Obviously a lot more happens in the summer anyway."
